Façade Improvement Grants & Low Interest Loans
The Façade Improvement Program is made possible through the HUD Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds administered by the City of Idaho Falls. The Downtown Master Plan envisions a revitalized downtown that is a vibrant and exciting environment to shop, dine, work, and play. To improve and maintain the historic character, this business assistance program was created and funded to retain the uniqueness of Historic Downtown by following the Design Guidelines. There are both matching grants and a low interest loan money available for façade improvements, signage, awnings, and canopies. The Idaho Falls Business Assistance Corporation (IFBAC) was created to manage the city’s revolving loan fund for the purpose of assisting business expansions and improvements with financing that is complementary and supplemental to commercial financing.
